This piece is really relevant, as its completely black, which is what the range of papers are, I like the way there are lots of different levels, and it shows that this can work with one colour of stock.

A different type of laser cutting, this piece is really intricate and detailed, I think that the type works well with the detailing.

I like that the card could be interactive inviting the audience to play with the cut out to make their own designs, this would be suitable to a creative audience.

I find the way there are different levels in this design, and the title is in the middle in a different colour it really stands out and draws the eye into the levels.

I think that this is really incredible to look at its so interesting, and again intricate, its almost whimsical and I think that a good thing about it is that it can be stood up always on display. Again the colour of the paper doesn't need to alternate and I think each page has been made separately which would make production easier. I'm not sure how well black paper would work, and as the range is to show the thicknesses of the paper I'm not sure this would show this element very well.

This is again very intricate, and again all the paper is the same colour. It is extremely detailed and I think that this would take the focus away from the paper itself.

The black as the very detailed stencil like card is really striking, I thought that this was really interesting to look at not necessarily helpful for the brief.

I really like how the covers have been transformed into one laser-cut icon, and I think that an additionally highlight is the face that it glows in the dark, the little detail adds to the 'magic'

Like the 'Transversal' book cover, this piece involves layers this time they are circular which I also like and I like that again the title is in the centre at the bottom of the layers.
Rob Ryan
Is known for his laser-cut pieces. Again they are really interesting and very personal looking I think that for this brief this may not be appropriate, but it is good to look at his work and see the way he uses images and type.

I like that this design is purely type based its really interesting and shows how you can keep pieces of the letters together, instead of falling away.
I also saw this even though it is stainless steel I can see how it would work with board and pieces that lift up/ out could be interesting to interact with similar to the laser cut stories above a piece could be made that stands up.
