WWF Organisation

WWF is...

  • the world’s leading independent conservation organisation
  • a truly global network, working in more than 100 countries
  • a challenging, constructive, science-based organisation that addresses issues from the survival of species and habitats to climate change, sustainable business and environmental education
  • creating solutions to the most important environmental challenges facing the planet so people and nature can thrive
  • an organisation that makes a difference - read about how we make a difference, and see examples of some of our successes to date.

About WWF-UK
Launched on 23 November 1961, WWF-UK was the first National Organisation in the WWF network. Today we have offices in England, Scotland and Wales. We are a registered charity - most of our income comes from voluntary sources, such as our dedicated members, supporters and the business community. Our 300+ staff work with governments, businesses and communities both here in the UK and around the world.

We use our experience, credibility and influence to help create long-term solutions to global threats to people and nature - such as climate change, the peril to endangered species and habitats, and the unsustainable consumption of the world’s natural resources.

The report itself is a big document (PDF) and there is a smaller supporting one. I think that the report isn't bad looking but it isn't innovative I think that it could be a lot more visual. As  I feel there imagery is so striking there presentation should be too, plus a different layout may be more appealing to a younger adult audience as well.

This is one of the current info graphics WWF has produced I think that it is a little bit over whelming and it could be different.

I discovered their app, which is so interesting ! And it looks really good. There print should match this...

WWF Together

Created by Studio AKQA
The app, entitled Together, provides a playful interactive experience in which users can explore the stories of eight different animal species: pandas, tigers, elephants, marine turtles, bison, snow leopards, polar bears and whales.
For each animal featured (the idea is that more species are added regularly) there is editorial content, beautiful photography, high def videos, unusual facts and even downloadable origami animal templates. The origami theme extends to a distinctly paper-folded look interactive globe users can use to find out how far (or close) they are to the animals explored in the app, and check out various statistics:

The app has clearly been successful...

WWF Together earned the prestigious Apple Design Award in 2013, and has clocked up over 60 years in total time users have spent exploring it since launch.
