After the crit and after I ha printed I felt that this info graphic wasn't strong enough and didn't match the other information visuals inside I felt that it lacked in colour and I wasn't happy with it.
I began with a vector image of a globe, I then assed the icons instead of the words for food, water and energy, as I looked at the original and felt that the words where quite bold and too loud.
I then like originally added the statements in on a circular path, which this time worked better around a globe.
Statements for the same element stayed on the same circle.
More statements added...
When I was putting in the second stroke colour it firstly came up as the fill and I thought that this might be more interesting and produce a more colourful design.
I think that this works a lot better and the layers built up colour as well as acting as a information divider.
All the statements in,
I then changed the colour of the countries to add more contrast as it looked too blue.
However I felt that this looked too dark and so I changed it to white and I think as the background/stock is white, it captures the eye and gives it a cleaner feel.
Old info graphic, looks slightly messy, and theres a lot of white.
I really prefer the new design its a lot neater and refined, it looks better and the white area really draws in the eye.
