I decided to foil that type on the poster as I felt that it would stand out more,as well as this it specifically mentioned on the brief that the new stocks . I decided to the choice of colours from an earlier description of the panthers eyes, being a silver/gold colour.
And so I chose a silver foil and a platinum foil, silver(at the front) platinum(back)
I did these patches of foil in order to cut out an eye shape as it would have been to complicated to have a pre-cut eye and then to foil, however I had laser cut the eyes so that i can use them as a stencil.
This is the design, I used it to see where the text would go in comparison to the image. I knew that it would be quite difficult to align as I wouldn't be able to put crop marks on the image, and I wouldn't have the panther on the paper as I didn't want to get glue on it and a screen won't work over a raised image, I was also waiting on the fedrigoni sample pack to see the embossed sample to see whether I could incorporate it.
To align the screen I had to use the bottom layer of the image onto the A3 piece and then drew small pencil marks to see where it would be aligned. It was slightly done by eye as well.
Final foil prints:
I did both foils to see which would be the best.

Comparison
From the comparison, silver and platinum on the photographs they don't look very different on the photographs but in front of you the silver although colder looking, was more reflective and you could see the copy better, a member of staff in the print room had a chat with me about the two and he agreed that the silver was better.
