Once I had designed the train I thought that it would be really good to show how when it moves along the colours change, similar to how the posters will change colour too.
I wasn't very sure on how to animate the illustration as I had never tried to create an animation before, I knew that Roxie had made her posters into gifs and they simply transitioned and so I looked into creating a gif file for the animation of the train, I watched some tutorials online and learnt that you can create a 'frame animation' and from this using the tween tool you could simply drag the train from the start till the end and use tween to add as many frames as you liked in between. I also added a 0.1 delay to the frames as it was a little bit too fast, and i also added a drop shadow to do both all I had to do was select both frames.
Even though this is quite simple, I have never tried to do something like this before and in doing this I feel a little bit more confident in animating simple things, I think now I should try look into more complex things, like showing how a web page would scroll or something similar.
