After the meeting we had agreed on job roles, and I had the role of designing the posters after showing my first initial idea, incorporating photographs of the cities and coloured blocks instead of outlines.
For the posters I decided to try use a spectrum of colours so that they would sweep across and work as a set.
I split the colours into four tone types so that each of the posters would have its own identity and represent each city.
I drew shapes on the isometric grid, and I drew the abbreviations of the cities (for example below is Leeds, LDS)
I then took the blocks from the letters, and I would use these to create the shapes,
And so I began by using the grid and I decided to use the letter of the city in the middle of the poster I felt that this would make it clear and then I dotted the shapes around the letter, and overlapping it so that I could create a 3D effect.
I gridded the design up on illustrator,
I then added the colour palette, and added the colours to the blocks
I copied the design into photoshop in order to add images to the shapes, I used images that represented different sectors in each city, I did this by pasting the shape into the image, drawing a path and inverting and deleting.
I then added the gradient to the background which I think added more depth. I left an area at the bottom of the image for the copy.
Manchester
I felt that you couldn't see the letters clearly and I thought that the type would be black on the poster and so I added a black outline to the letter of the city and to some of the coloured blocks to make it clear that they where blocks.

I liked how the posters looked and I felt like they had some relate-ability and character, I showed the group screen shots and did some minor changes.
